About

Born in California and raised in Alaska, Jeffrey made fifteen short films before finishing high school and with the financial assistance from his Native American tribe, the Fallon Paiute of Nevada, he graduated from NYU’s Kanbar Institute of Film and Television in 1999. His debut documentary feature Lillie & Leander: A Legacy of Violence world premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and was co-presented by the Smithsonian National Institute of the American Indian. Jeffrey has been featured in Adweek, Shoot Magazine’s New Directors Showcase and is also an alumni of Tribeca Film Institute’s All-Access Program and DOC NYC’s Only in New York Program. He was also VP, Director/Executive Producer at Deutsch Advertising New York where he created award winning branded content and headed up their internal production studio. His latest  documentary, Welcome to Jay was a recipient of the Ken Burns Better Angels Society Lavine Fellowship and world premiered at the 2024 Tallahassee Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature.
